I was in Amsterdam this weekend visiting friends.

First we went bowling. I won. Probably for the first time in my life.

Sherence had nice hair (like the guy from Eraserhead!) and smoked pipe.

I hung out with people who wore nice shoes.

And the next day I visited some musea. This was done by Erik Kessels. He printed all the photo's that were uploaded on Flickr in 24 hours.
The result was pretty overwhelming. Heaps and heaps of pictures, witch you could look through and find little treasures. You can see it for yourself untill 7 december in Foam.

I'm still getting used to taking analogue pictures, it's both really cool and really frustrating. I'm also a bit impatient, but it's worth the wait. Also I've been playing around with some analogue cameras lately (as a proper hipster yes), the first film is being developed, but it takes ages because the photoservice keeps fucking up. I hope I will have some results to show you soon. I'm very excited to see what came out, analogue photography is always a such a big surprise!

As I mentioned in my previous post, I went to the Dutch Design week. At some point I looked like this.

I went with my whole class with cute classmates.

My school also had a stand in the expo space. They brought this thing. It´s actually nothing more than a camera on stelts in a box.

And you can take pictures like this with it! It was a lot of fun.

Today I went to the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven. I saw a lot of weird and cool stuff. But more about that in my next post. This is what I wore:

I made my hair a bit like cotton candy, unfortunately it was a bit windy today so it's a bit less poofy than how it's supposed to be. But I still quite like to look like a poofball.

As I mentioned in my previous post, yesterday I went to a museum in The Hague. We arrived a bit early so we decided to grab some coffee and hang out with this huge skeleton of a toothwhale.
This is how the ceiling looked in the café.

And here's Nikki, Michelle and Nikita. Three of my favourite classmates.

The exhibition was about fashion. Mainly about rebels in the fashionworld and changes throughout history. Michelle and I agreed we needed this outfit in our wardrobes. But then again, there ware a lot of pieces we were all drooling over.
I didn't take a picture of the wonderfull Vivienne Westwood dresses that were displayed, I think it was because I got distracted by this skull lamp.

My favourite part must have been two pieces of the Givenchy fall 2010 collection, inspired by Frida Kahlo. I had seen the collection on the internet, but it is just so much more impressive to see it in real life.
I also loved the inside of the musuem. It was really big and white with a few of colored details.
Michelle had a nice bag and nice rings, as always.

At one point Michelle and I got a bit lost, and we accidentally stumbled upon this room, probably ment for kids. It was decorated with drawings from our chilhood cartoon/books Keepvogel en Kijkvogel. There were these beanbags and a television telling the stories from the books. We thought it was pretty cool.

The exhibition Fashion Loves Art will be on display in Gemeentemuseum Den Haag until the 8th of january. I can recommend it, it was really cool. Also, don't forget to visit the other exhibition about Paris, which is also very nice.

Today I went to a museum with some friends of mine, we saw a lot of beautiful things, but more about that in my next post. This is how I looked today. I'm kind of into big shirts and sweaters lately, I like to combine them with something very feminine like short shorts and high heels to keep it from beeing too "junkie". I'm not sure if I'm making any sense. But anyway, we had a nice day, and tonight I'm baking pancakes. Yay!

So I found this cardboard chair somewhere randomly at school.
And I wore something plaid with a sailor brooch that day.
I decided to take some pictures in the chair, I was actually planning to study, but hey, how often do you come across a cardboard chair? I wear my doc Martens maybe twice a year. I love them, but I love the height, I feel I desperately need for people to notice my existence, that get from high heels a little bit more I guess.

So you might have noticed some changes around here. I know I've been away for a while, which has to do with a lot of things. But also, this blog didn't seem really "me" anymore. I thought it was a bit crappy and I want to step it up a bit and make it all a bit better. Starting with a new lay-out. What do you think? Don't worry, there will still be a huge amount of sillyness like you're used to from me by now. But just with a bit more style. So let's have a fresh new start then.

These pictures are taken with my lovely classmates last week. We have really cool photostudio's at school an we had a lesson about how to use all the different lights and stuff. But at the end we got to try and take some pictures to practice which was the fun part obviously...

I make a whole lot of pictures with my phone, and even though they're kind of crappy, I thought it might be fun to show you anyway. There are a lot of things, like festivals or concerts where I don't dare to take my expensive Canon camera to, but I always have my phone with me. So I might make this a monthly thing if you like it. Here's june:

I came across one of the best dogstatues I've ever seen.
I had a sleepover at Laura's and I met her cat that has only one ear.
My hair was a disaster all throughout June.
I wore funny hats while visiting my good friend Dennis.
I went to the zoo with my classmates.
I visited my old room and discovered it was taken over by cats.
I got a new old bike.
I watched Dennis eat a sandwich.
I made some ridiculous pictures for school.
I went to Laura's awkward birthdayparty.
I hung out with my friend Michelle in a weird bar in a weird place doing weird things.
I hung out with my old friend Ralf as well. I'm not sure why he's holding whatever that is in that way.
I had a great salad at my mom's.
I was happy when Daya and Dennis returned from a festival they went to. (yes I told you, my camera takes crappy pictures.)
I ate icecream bare-legged.
I had a minor bicycle incedent.
I met up with Marjolijn to be completely jealous of her shirt.
And we also went to see Death Cab for Cutie play, it was really busy.

I'm able to choose a new telephone in not too long, do you have any tips for phones with nice cameras (also, a phone that's not too expensive please) ?

Hi, I know, it's been a while again. I'm happy to report that I finished my first year of school and I've been spending my time lately celebrating that with friends, festivals, concerts and beers.
Today I went to the market with Nikki . I bought a pretty cool shirt that I will show you soon. We also had icecream, like we actually always do.
I like this dress a lot, even though the fit is kind of awkward, it's a bit to big near my hips and it's a tad too long (or am I just too short?).
I know my knee looks disgusting, I had a tiny bicycle incident, I'm ok though.

I thought I'd show you some pictures I took for another schoolassignment. I had to make pictures on a boat so I put up a cry for help on Facebook. Then a guy, who knew a guy responded and before I knew it I was on a boat. (That reminds me of this). It ended up in beeing a very nice boattrip, sometimes my school is pretty cool. This is what I wore today. As you can see in the last picture, I ripped my tights. And the hole grew bigger and bigger during the day. It sucked. But apart from that, the day was pretty good. During the break I danced, lay around in the sun and bought an icecream from a nice icecreamtruck. The guy who worked there told me he used to study at my school, and then became an icecreamseller. Always nice and motivating to hear.

Usually I don't feel weird about putting lipstick on...
But today I got this marker shaped lipstick, and it feels just a bit unusual to draw on my lips with a marker.

But I really like the result. You can't even feel you're wearing lipstick, and the color is really good. Also, I dyed my hair. It's really bright red, not what I was going for at all, but I guess I will just have to get used to it.

Hi! I'm still alive and kicking, don't worry. Although I feel like the schoolwork is killing me a little bit.

I don't have anything to show you actually, so I thought I just post these two little crappy movies I made.

This is a silly movie we made while visiting the Rotterdam Film Festival. We got a lot of attention carrying around this stretchy panda.

I hope you don't mind me showing some stuff I'm working on for school every now and then. The picture above was taken on my balcony. I exploded some waterballoons filled with dye on myself while wearing a white shirt and white tights. I'm not sure if I like the outcome, so I might try it again. But next time maybe I will think twice about it since I had to scrub my legs for about an hour afterwards because the dye went trough the two pairs of tights I was wearing and my legs were all green, blue and purple for a while. The things I do for school...
I made this as a study to make a tribute to Ziggy Stardust. I wanted to make it weird and spacy. I think I kind of succeeded in that, but I might have to get a bit more serious in order to make my teacher happy.
This is a picture I made of my sweet little brother who is also an awesome model apparently. We had to photograph our hero, and anti-hero. Above is my hero which is "surprise" and my antihero is "routine" which you can see below.
Later this day I will celebrate my brothers birthday.

Yesterday I spent all day sitting in the park with Nikki, eating candy and listening to music.

So today it´s pretty nice outside, nice enough to wear my cape and not freeze to death. And so I did.
Nikki (have a look at her blog if you haven't!) and I went shopping and we came across this nice little park with a lot of ducks (and their poo unfortunately).

My dress looks weird in this picture, but it's actually pretty nice in real life, I promiss.
I almost fell down and died after this picture was taken.

Hairy sweaters.

So here's how I looked today. I had my final review today of all the things I made at school until now. It was kind of scary, even the head of the fashion department came by. But luckily it all went well, I got a very good grade and on my rapportcard it even said that I have a nice sense of humor.
I don't think I've shown you these shoes yet, I really like them. Plastic shoes are fun, they're shiny and make a squeaky sound when you rub them together.
Polkadots and bows might be two of my favourite things.
I have a lot of belts that are a little bit too long, and I like to tie them in a little knot.
I'm wearing a vintage hairy sweater (did you notice that it's exactly the same color as my hair?), a vintage dress and bow and Vivienne Westwood for Melissa shoes.

If you're a dedicated blogreader you might recognize the setting of this pictures. I thought I'd try this setting sometime because at Fashionnerdic it always looks so nice. Also, it's right behind my school. (Ilanka actually goes to my school as well.)

I've not been feeling all to well lately. I'm feeling very tired and I have some kind of stupid rash on my face that not even the doctor knows what it is or how I can get rid of it. I should really clean my room and do some stuff but instead I've been watching movies and hanging out with friends. Oh oh. But I guess everyone has days like that right? Today I will get my hair cut (nothing fancy) and having a sleepover at Nikki's.

Hi sweeties! No, I didn't blow myself up at newyearseve, I'm ok and alive! It's just very busy at school. I hope you all had a wonderfull christmas time, and I know I'm very late but... Happy New Year! I thought I would give you an impression of what I'm working on...
A drawing I made inspired by a wonderfull movie. We have to keep a journal of all the things that inspire us and this one is in it...
A huge drawing inpired by a German artist called Ralf Ziervogel. I'm very glad to be done with this on time, it turned out very well! It's a bit vulgair, with a lot of penisses and blood, but I like it anyway. And it makes sense once you have checked out Ralf Ziervogels site.
A picture for photography. We had to make a picture inspired by a dream you had. I dreamt about octopusses obviously, so I got myself a really smelly dead octopus and made pictures of Fernando posing with it on his head. He's a brave, brave man.
A cover for V magazine. This assignment is really frustrating since you're not allowed to edit the picture, and you have to have a pair of shoes in it, and you're also not allowed to have a model in it... I'm not really feeling this one, but I hope I will get an ok grade for the effort I made anyway!

So for the next two weeks I will have to present all my work and I will get grades and I'm so very nervous, it's not even funny.

I will let you know how it went! And after that I will be blogging like normal again.

Yesterday Nikki and me got all dolled up because we were going to Burlesque Ballroom, which is a 50's themed party with nice music, beautiful people and ofcourse burlesque dancers.

By the way, in the background of these pictures you can see some of my new home. It's a tiny little room but it's in the centre of the city and I think that's pretty awesome. Nevermind that green wall, I didn't have enough time to paint it when I moved in. It's the one thing I hate about my room. And that it gets really cold! But other than that, it's pretty nice.

Death of a dress.

So here´s what happened to my lovely miu miu like dress... Yes, that´s right, the sleeves came off! And not in such a way that you can repare it, no, the fabric just totally fell apart on me. Which is weird, because it looked like such nice quality! I´m still trying to get over it...

But luckily, I had bought another dress that day, one that didn´t fell apart and one that goes so very well with my striped tights.

And with little silver buttons.

So my friend Marjolijn and I could have a good night after all! (More pictures of that later).

So today I went to the fleamarket with my sister. We had a nice time and bought really pretty dresses. This is my new favourite I think, it reminds me of the Miu Miu ss 2010 collection which I loved to death.
Yes, weird pictures. I'm slowely getting used to my new camera, but the self-timer will never be my friend I think.
Such nice quality, the beads are very well sewn to the collar and cuffs and I haven't discovered a single one missing! Also the fabric is really heavy and nice.

So I had to make portretpictures for school. Ofcourse I used my favourite model, although she doesn't look happy in this picture. And oh yeah, I also asked Fernando to be in the picture. I made quite a few pictures, I will show you them later, but I think this one is my favourite.

Yesterday it was my birthday, I'm already 22 years old, can you believe it? I sure can't. I ate lots of pie with my family. A pretty normal birthday for once, but I think I will celebrate with my friends next week. Tonight I will visit a friend in Amsterdam and tomorrow I will go on an Amsterdam trip with my classmates. I think Amsterdam is my favourite city in The Netherlands.

Good day at the flea market today. I brought home a 1,50 outfit. And yes, that's including the shoes.

Excuse me for these colours, it was pretty dark so I had to lighten the pictures up a bit (yup, I still have to figure out my camera, but I'm working on it). In real life this nice ruffley blouse is a nice rust colour.

These boots were (like the blouse and the skirt) only 50 cents.

I like the length of this skirt, it's nice to have warm knees sometimes. The belt came with it!

And I will use this as my new camerabag. Did you notice that there are no nice new camerabags? I mean, there are just none! So the only stylish solution to carry your camera around I think is in a nice little vintage suitcase (preferably with flowers on it). This little bag cost me more than my whole outfit. A staggering three euro's!

On the first day in Germany we visited a park filled with art. There were statues and little buildings with paintings all over the place. It was nice and sunny that day. This was our first stop and afterward we were brought to our hostel.

So I've been in Germany for five days on a schooltrip. It was very nice, even though we didn't had that much time for ourselves because we had to see like a bazillion museums.

Today I'm going to try and do a lot of homework. I still have to get used to getting things done, I'm really bad at concentrating. But at least I'm learning things which I find usefull and pretty awesome, that helps.

Here you see a few pictures from a photoshoot I did for a new brand of bags. Unfortunately, they didn't send me the normal size pictures yet (I'm hoping they will, but it's already been four months or so...) so I had to steal these tiny pictures off their website. But it was nice dressing up, getting my hair and make-up done and doing weird poses in front of the camera.

A whole lot of things happened when I was not blogging. I moved to a tiny little apartment in the centre of Rotterdam, I started my new education which I love, I made a whole lot of new friends, I just came back from a schooltrip to Düsseldorf, Keulen an Bonne and am still very tired, but I loved it, I was without internet for a while, my emailadress was freaking out on me but now it's working properly again, I have had several tiny nervous-breakdowns, I had some nice little parties, developed an addiction for my lovely new MAC lipcolour, danced and drank martini's, petted several pugs, stressed a lot about school... But I will show all these things on this blog again to you, as I'm going to be blogging again!

I missed this blog so much. But as I said, a lot of things changed in my little life and I had to get used to it. I got kind of scared doing this new school-thing, because I haven't done an education I loved this much yet. I'm scared to screw it up, but am also enyoing it a whole lot! It's nice to live in the centre of the city again, even though my apartment is really tiny and a lot of times very messy (I'm really chaotic). But my little balcony is so nice (especially in summer, when you can sit in the sun, read a good book and listen to jazz band that are performing a few houses away in a jazz club). I was without internet for a while when I moved and so I could not blog, and after that I was trying to figure out how to combine everything like, working, hanging out with friends, get everything fixed in my apartment, kiss my boyfriend, doing homework, going to school without freaking out. I know it sounds weird, but I haven't been to school for a while, so it's a big difference!

But then I started missing you like crazy, when my email got fixed I received so many nice emails! And also, I'm learning a lot of things about fashion, photography, photoshop and so that I actually really wanted to share with you. So now I'm starting to blog again, and I hope you will forgive me for my long absence. I missed you!

So there you have it, I'm a redhead now. And I love it. The pictures are a little bit dark, the color is a bit brighter and I think beautiful. The hairdresser did such a nice job. It looks even better out in the sun. I got warned that it will probably fade real quick since my hair was pretty white, but at least now I can color it myself. Also, the cat in the first picture is my sisters. I'm babysitting for three weeks in her apartment because she's somewhere in France right now.

Yesterday we spend the day in the park yet again. I wore what I think is one of my most beautiful dresses. ( it is vintage)
We sat in the grass an played games and also had a tiny bbq.

They decided to play some baseball with leftover food. It was a bit messy, but funny. We also used plastic plates to play frisbee with for a couple of hours.
Later Melle showed up and I gave him this hat because I thought he would like it. And he did.

As you can see my hairdresser was closed on monday because of the soccergame. So I'm still a blonde!

I found this cute little hat on the fleamarket the other day. When I bought I thought about how well it would go with red hair. So I'm going to see if my hairdresser has some time for me today to dye my hair. Exiting! Also, I came to the discovery that white eye-pencil has to be one of the best things ever. I've been wearing it every day ever since I bought it.
I'm sorry for the blurry picture but with a little bit of imagination you can see how nice the back of my hat is. A big tule bow!

Yesterday I watched the soccer game ofcourse. You couldn't ignore it. We lost to Spain and everyone was sad. But the trick is to watch the game with Dutch and Spanish people so you can have a little party either way! I guess octopusses are to be taken seriously. And a lot more fun to watch than those sport journalists going on and on about who was going to win if you ask me. If they only had tentacles...

Metropolis Festival

Metropolis is a free festival in Rotterdam. There are always some really nice bands playing that aren't that well-known yet. So great new bands to discover every year! And also, this year Adam Green was there. And I'm very much in love with him.

I actually had to work on this day but I couldn't stand knowing the festival was going on while I was doing nothing at work because no one showed up. So I decided at twelve a clock it was ok for me to ask the day off, since my boss was already in the cubehouse watching the Tour de France. I'm so happy I did!

I don't care I look like a total doofus in this picture, because look it's Adam Green!

As if the day couldn't get any better, Alex and Wouter bought me a pink dolphin balloon.

Orangy 50´s dress and a good day ahead

Why yes, I´m still alive. This week I´ve been to a great free festival called Metropolis. I was actually kind of hoping to see some of you around but I didn´t unfortunately. But I had a great time anyway. I even got the change to talk to Adam Green for a while and take a picture with him and tell him that he touched my boob while he was stagediving. So that was nice. I hope to get the picture soon. But today, I´m wearing my orange dress because tonight there will be a soccer match and the Netherlands are playing. I really don´t like soccer but we are going to watch it with friends and I also kind of like to yell things at the television screen.

Ah yes, selftimer isn´t my friend yet. It is also kind of difficult since we don´t have a tripod or anything so I have to find things to put the camera on resulting in my feet beeing cut off in the pictures. But, I think you can see how nice my dress is can´t you? I think I will start collecting only 50's dresses. They are just flattering.
As you can see the weather is really nice!
I just recently picked up these vintage heels which I love.
I also did my hair. I'm enjoying this color while I can because I've decided to go red. Yes I have. I would much rather stayed a blonde but red is much cheaper because I can dye it myself. And it's nice to change sometimes.
I tried taking pictures here but it wasn't a succes. (Everything is vintage).

So today I will go to the fleamarket, be taken out to dinner and then hang out with friends and watch soccer. And maybe, with a little luck, finally look at an apartment. But only if a guy who's going to look first doesn't want it, oh I so hope he doesn't want it. I'm desperate for my own little place, but it's so difficult to find something affordable! So keep your fingers crossed for me!

I thought it would be somewhat of a crime if I didn't let you know that you can buy Vivetta clothes on sale now. I don't think I've ever posted anything about this brand and I didn't really think it was necessary seeing that so many of you posted about it already. But. It is just so freaking awesome that I just can't help myself. I want every single piece. I love it so much.

So this is the color of the bottom part of my hair. Only the bottom layer. It was supposed to look like cotton candy only it turned out a little bit more purple. Still I think it's quite fun and it washes out quickly.

So these pictures clearly need some explanation. This is a singer who performed twice at our campingspot's café. He had his own karaoke machine and he just sang songs and danced in weird outfits. Just typical songs everyone knows. The lamest type of entertainment, and therefore we laughed and danced a whole night to it and decided to be his biggest fans. The second time he performed though, he stuffed a piece of paper in my bag during the show with his number on it. So we pissed our pants laughing and fled the scene. It was funny and scary at the same time.
This was our tent. And our mess. We had a lot of stuff lying around.
One day it was really hot and we didn't even go to see anything that day. We just sat down and enjoyed the sun. Which was really nice.
The man you see at the right of the car has a thing on a stick an he pretends that it's his dog and it's not listening. I had that thing jump up my crotch once and the man screamed NO FIFI NO to it. It was hysterical. And I'm also not sure what that strange man is doing in my car.
This was very normal there.
We saw some nice things. Also this show where people pretended to be evil monkeys. It was scary and spectaculair.
We also danced a lot to very good music.
The festival took place at a lot of different locations on an island in the north of the Netherlands. Without a bike, you were lost. We chose to drive tandems. Which I thought was scary at the beginning but I mastered it during the week.
Sometimes it rained a bit. But it didn't stop us from having a good time!

Yesterday I was at my hairdressers and came to the conclusion that I didn't have enough money left from the Oerol festival to get my roots fixed. So I just cut it a little, nothing special. Untill the hairdressers showed me all kinds of little jars with weird colors in it. They were a lot cheaper because they wash out easily. So I went for some kind of pink. I told her to make my hair look a bit like cotton candy. It's very subtle though, only the bottom part of my hair is pink. I will show you tomorrow.

And on another note: I probably didn't get your mail if you have send me an email in the past couple of months. I was getting a whole lot of spam so I changed my spamfilter resulting in it filtering almost any email out of my inbox. I just discovered this recently and it now has been fixed. But if you have send me an email and I haven't responded, please send it again!

So hi I´m back! With a butt of steel from cycling, a whole lot of new freckles and, unfortunately, a pretty bad blather infection. I had a hell of a good time though, I will show you soon. Saturday the weather was really nice. So we decided once again to have a picnic. We can not get enough.

We drank beer and wore sunglasses.

We were beeing a little bit silly. And Jena is wearing a wonderful blue dress with flowers on her shoulders which I really wanted to steal.

Watermelon is one of the best things you can eat when it's hot.

I haven't shown you my picnicbasket yet! It really is the best. And I bought it just recently for only 3 euros!

We played this game about all day long. I'm not sure what it's called but you have to think of someone, write it down on a piece of paper and stick it on somebodies forehead. Then you guess who you are.
I don't know if I will ever forgive myself for misspelling Charmander. This is Bas by the way. He can do flips and jumps you wouldn't believe!

We ate a lot of nice things. Smoked mackarel, strawberries, radishes, bread with all kinds of salads, watermelon... I also came up with another way to do my hair, it's so nice when it's hot! (Just make two french braids and tuck them in your hair at the bottom, pin it with bobbypins, maybe add a bow, and voila!). And if you were wondering, I'm wearing a vintage catsuit (old picture) which is a very lovely piece of clothing and I always get so much compliments when I wear it! It feels like wearing pajamas and it's only annoying when you have to go to the toilet...

We couldn't find post-it's at the store so we bought normal paper and scotch tape. But the scotch tape wasn't really forehead-proof so we stuck them to eachothers sunglasses which made it a little bit hard to see.

Late in the afternoon my family arrived and my friends took off. My sister Lysanne.

A great day. I really want to do some more outfit posts here. Especially since all I've been doing lately is having picnics, which are nice, but you know, all the photo's kind of look the same. Some grass, some people eating things, some geese... I know boring stuff, I'll be working on it!

I will be off to a festival very soon. It's a cute festival on one of the islands in the north of the Netherlands. There's music but mainly a lot of theater and performance things. I've never been there, I usually go to the big music festivals but I was broke this summer so this was a lot cheaper and I'm very curious what to expect. It's called Oerol, and if any one of you Dutchies are going please say hi when you see me there, I always think it's fun to meet someone who reads my blog! I'll be going with a friend of mine and it will last about 10 days! So it will be very quiet here. And it's a little bit sad that I can only take my crapcam because I'm way to scared to get sand in an expensive camera, or loose it or someone stealing it. So expect a lot of crappy sandy pictures when I get back. I'll be off thursday, and I will be blogging before that.

So I've been seriously neglecting my hair. I had kind of decided I would grow it very long, so I just left it to grow. But now I get that itch again, like I want a change. I can't really stay with the same hairstyle too long, I get bored very easily.

This is how I've been wearing my hair a lot lately, my bangs were getting way to long so I just tie them up in a little twistything. I think it looks ok, and also, it's the perfect remedy for sweaty foreheads (I hate getting a sweaty forehead so much. I forgot all about it but now with the nice weather and all, I got reminded this morning when I had to run for the metro.)

I have had brown hair. I don't think I'll be going back to that.
This is when I first go blonde. It turned out way too yellow then. But I'm considering maybe cutting my hair this short again. I kind of like boblines.
I have had a bit red hair too. I like redheads. But if I would to go red again I would probably go with a much brighter color. More Florence and The Machine - red.
And I kind of like straight bangs too.

Do you have any ideas for nice hairstyles?

On monday we decided to have a little barbeque because the weather was nice, we were hungry and Daya was in town. (She a friend of mine who lives in Amsterdam).

We bought nice things to eat and drink.

Dennis and Fernando were acting all macho like boys do when they get to play with fire. They didn't really do a good job with our barbeque though, but they were to macho to ask our neighbours for firelighters so I did. And then they were a little bit embarressed until the fire got going and they acted like they did all the work.

While the boys were still trying to get the barbeque to work Daya and me decided to have some drinks...

And eat our dead fish. I know it looks disgusting but it's so good! (It's smoked mackerel).

Finally the barbeque was working and we baked some really nice burgers.

I would love to have a nice cupped top or playsuit or dress. They have such nice playsuits and bralets at Topshop, but I'm terrible afraid my boobs won't fit into them.

I want my skin to look perfect and pale this summer, like these two ladies. If I do get a tan, it looks stupid. It really does. I don't get a nice brown teint, I get some kind of shitty "beige". I want to stay pale. I'm looking for a nice concealer and foundation also, do you have any tips? (I got some not too long ago, I bought the lightest versions but they still were a bit too dark for me. Does anyone know a good foundation for very light skin?). I'm not sure what's going on but I've been having some kind of little skin problems lately, some spots and really unattractive bags under my eyes you wouldn't believe! I do get enough sleep so I'm not sure where this suddenly comes from. It scares me.

These things from Lazy Oaf make me happy. Isn't that the most wonderful backpack you've ever seen? And don't you just wish your feet could look like pencils? (I know the sweater isn't really "summery" but it's a burgersweater. So.)

I'm loving these nice big skirted dresses from Modcloth very much as well. Pastels don't really look good on me but I like them so much I just wear them anyway.

Since the weather is becoming really nice now I'm happy and really want some colorfull feet. Pretty, highheeled, colorful shoes. They're from Irregular Choice ofcourse.

I won't be able to afford any of this, but it's nice to dream. I did, however, buy a bikini yesterday. It will be arriving soon and I so hope it will fit me! I bought it trough Marktplaats (dutch ebay) and it's a never worn Esther Williams bikini that looks like this:

I've been working a lot lately and it's so hard when it is so nice out! (And nobody wants to see a cubehouse from the inside when it's so much better to be outside, so I'm just sitting here alone making silly wishlists...) Luckily saturday is my day off and we'll be having a picknick. And sunday next week I will go to an amusement park to ride some rollercoasters. For some reason, when it gets sunny, I feel in desperate need of rollercoasterrides. Are you doing fun things this weekend?

Before I show you the great stuff I bought today I want to show you this teddybear backpack. I got it on queensday from Jesse (thanks!) and I forgot to show you!
I got me some denim. I was a little bit sceptic about the whole denim shirt trend at first but once I saw some of you lovely bloggers rocking it so well I decided I just couldn't leave this shirt behind. It has all kinds of crazy applications and it looks really nice worn with a belt and shorts. Love.
I KNOW. Shitty close-ups. I really should invest in a good camera with a self timer but I'm afraid I won't be able to buy something like that soon...
A nice little mod dress! It's a little bit big but not disturbingly. I just can't leave anything with a bow. It's sickening. I actually bought eight hairbows today too. But they were laying in a pile! And they were only one euro for four bows! And the nice lady gave me one for free! Yay! another weird closeup. But maybe if you squint your eyes a bit, you can see that it not only has a big bow, but also pretty buttons and a cute collar.
And a grandma blouse. I love these blouses! They're so light and flowy and nice. I saw this one hanging on a rack and when I looked at the front I wasn't totally convinced yet...
But luckily it had a very nice surprise at the back! Isn't it lovely?

I bought one more dress that is just so very nice. But I really think it deserves to have a better picture, so I will show it to you very soon!

Saturday I curled my hair a bit. I didn't do a good job though, so I just decided to make it extra messy and poofy.

And now be prepared for the worst quality of pictures you will ever see on this blog (hopefully). I thought I try out my little camera I got... It's not pretty.

This is how I looked yesterday on my way to a bar to hang out with some friends.

We had drinks the size of our heads and talked about all kinds of stuff.

I KNOW, this picture is actually way too crappy to post. BUT, I just had to show you that they had popcorn icecream! I was in shock. Ofcourse I had some, I couldn't really imagine how icecream could taste like popcorn, BUT IT DID. It was magical.

It actually had real pieces of popcorn in it as well.

I think it's so brilliant that there is an icecreamshop that is still open this late. I always want to get some when I go out.

So that is all for now. I won't ever use this camera again at night. Let's consider it a test.

Now I'm off to the café I went yesterday because I left my phone there, haha. Also, I'm looking for another job. I've always wanted to work in a vintage store, but I'm afraid I'm not the only one. But it's worth a try. I think I will be working in a stinky store or even supermarket though. But I really need some extra money since I really want to do some fun stuff with my friends who almost have holidays. Ha, I can't wait to go to school next year and have holidays again! You appreciate your time off so much more then! Also, since I moved out of my old room I've actually been living with my mother again ! It was supposed to be temporarely but I didn't have any luck finding a new room quick unfortunately (and some financial problems) but I really want to live on my own again this summer. I saved up some money for that so I can accept anything that comes my way now but I would love to have some more money so I can make it as cute as I want it to be. But I have a feeling I will be in luck soon! (And living with your mom is ok, but once you've lived on your own it's kind of weird...)

Yesterday was queensday here in the Netherlands. We celebrate the Queens birthday by wearing a lot of orange and the queen waves at people and watches people doing weird performances. But the cool thing about all this is that there is a huge freemarket everywhere! So people sit on blankets on the street and sell their old junk they found in their attic. And I love old junk people find in their attic!

Someone was selling all kinds of cool vintage glasses. The glass in them is just clear glass, so it won't hurt your eyes. I bought the blue ones, and Fernando the others, but I think I might be wearing them a lot more than he is...

Yes Yes Yes, I found doc Martens! Yellow ones! They were never worn and cost me 10 euros!
I bought these penis shaped salt and pepper shakers from a little old lady. It was kind of awkward. But worth it.

My mission of the day was finding a big bag for school where I could put my laptop in, and finding a leather backpack for festivals. I found both! This bag costed me 2 euros! And it is just so very perfect.

The leather backpack was 2 euros as well, I actually really wanted a brown one, but I guess black will do.

Today I'm wearing: vintage glasses, Primark playsuit, random dotted (and also ripped unfortunately) tights, primark socks and awesome yellow doc martens.

I also found this squirrel with colorfull hearts all over it! It's actually so cute it's kind of creepy. But I just couldn't leave it behind.

Oh! I almost forgot, I got a Nintendo 64 too! Too bad I didn't find Pokémon Snap. I know I'm such a dork, but I remember really enjoying that game. This is how I acted when I found the Nintendo:

So I thought I'd give this a try, show my day in pictures. I've seen this on a lot of other blogs, and I thought it was a fun idea. Actually, it was a bit of a boring day yesterday, so I was glad I could take pictures every now and then.

I woke up to the sound of constructionworkers and their machinery, I'm still not sure what they're doing. It was my day off, so I was a bit pissed they woke me up about 7.30.

Then I looked trough some blogs a bit, and answered a few emails, while this cute kitty was giving me headbumps and hugs.

I took a shower and did my make-up and discovered my first freckles this year. (They're on my nose and they're still very light, but they become more obvious when it gets sunnier. I love freckles.)

Then I tried out my new sunglasses. I won them in some kind of Facebook action. They're pretty awesome. From the site: www.ikhebeenbril.nl I'm afraid it's only for Dutchies and Belgians, they have some very nice sunglasses, have a look!

It was nice and sunny outside...

So I took the dogs for a walk.

Then I went to get some colorfull paper at the stores.

When I got the paper, I discovered the lady from the store put three bunnies in my bag with it. Cute! I put them on my vintage bag that is going to be my festival bag this year.

Then I had some lunch. Toasted bread with spicy hummus (I'm totally adicted to hummus, it's the best) and some sweet peppers.

I ate it next to this cat.

Then I did this:

Than I sat in the sun for a long time doodling and drinking cold drinks.

I walked the dogs again and decided that this thing needed some eyes.

That's about it. I tried to do this on monday too, but my battery died at the hairdressers. These are the only pictures I made:

When I got dressed I found some long lost green shoes. Later that day I remembered why I didn't wear them anymore, they hurt like hell!

Then I hugged this little creature and went on my way to the hairdresser. (I was at Fernando's house this day, and they have this dog, all the other animals, are my mother's.)

I was at the hairdresser for about three and a half hours that day. It's really annoying. But luckily, I get to look totally hot, like this:

Then my battery died, but afterwards I went to get some drinks with some friends.

This weekend I cheered for a friend who plays basketball. After that we ate pizza in the sun and played Rockband. I had two popsicles that day.
Today I'm going to get my hair dyed so it will look like this again. Now, it looks just horrible. But I just hadn't had time to get it done yet, it always takes over 3 hours! That's why I'm considering dying my hair red maybe. But then again, I think I will regret it, I just love this color so much but it's so much work (and expensive!)...

A lot of you asked me what exactly this education is that I was so stressed about. Well, it's called Lifestyle & Design. It's not really an education that is especially for one profession, but you could for example be a fashion stylist or interior stylist. It's about how people show who they are. Trough clothes, but also through things they do, how their house looks and stuff like that. So a lot about trends. When I went to get some information about this education what won me over was that you could take a minor in photography as well in your third year and that I got to see what the people who already doing the education had made. And it was just so lovely! They all had to make a magazine and they were all really nice and different! And I got more and more excited when I talked to some people who were already doing the education, it just seems like you get to learn all kinds of things I find interesting. It's also about observing a lot, and I like doing that. (Do you want to know something funny? I found out today that Lotte, from the blog Heart Shaped Bottle also tried out for this education, so if it all goes as expected we might be classmates next year!).

And some of you English readers would like to know what my job is. Well, do you see the buildings above? Pretty weird eh? They're houses, and yes people are actually living in them! These houses are designed by an architect called Piet Blom and are famous all over the world! I work in one of them, that's decorated as a museumhouse. People can have a look at the inside of such a building and ask me questions about them. So I guess you could say that I'm somewhat of a cubehouse expert. It's a very fun job to do, you meet people from all over the world and besides, sometimes it's really quiet, and I have a computer with internet right beside me, a coffeemachine and a cdplayer that holds over 50 cd's!

The other day I came across this wonderful blog and I really think you should read it (I think a lot of you know it already though). It made me so insanely happy. I just did my try-out for Art College. I'm so glad it's over! I was insanely nervous, which is a bit unusual for me, but I guess it was just because I want to do this education so bad. I think I did ok, let's hope ok is enough. I'll be hearing if I'm accepted within two weeks.

We had to show a day of our lives as well. I chose to do that with a little movie I made. The commentary is my voice, and it's in Dutch. It's about a random saturday in my life, that I like dogs with wrinkles, that I hate walking down stairs, I get bored on the subway, my work, the market and what I buy there and about the parties at night.

Also, when I was showing my blackbook, I noticed that this drawing was in there. I thought I had lost it. It's a portrait of two dutch folksingers, Nick & Simon, I drew Simon and Fernando drew Nick, they're saying: "I suck" and "me too". We made this drawing because we were bored and we don't like Nick and Simon. I guess it accidentally became part of my portfolio, haha.

I think I'm going insane. I planned to be working on my assignments and other things to put in my portfolio the whole day. But the neighbours decided to break down and rebuild their house today or something else that makes a hell of a lot of noise. I'm not kidding, I can't even hear the music I'm playing on my computer while it's on it's loudest.

Well, since I can't really do anything with this noise, I thought I'd show you some other pictures we took for the assignment about black things.

I thought it was pretty good weather yesterday, but when i stepped outside there was a really cold wind... So I put on my jacket and some extra socks.
And I wore a big bow cardigan as well. (Wearing: River Island coat, Bow Cardigan thrifted (50cents!), Red vintage Vera Mont dress thrifted, Straw Bag thrifted, socks Primark, shoes Zara.) And only now I realize that I've been wearing like thousands of different prints (dots, bows, hearts, stripes). The only thing missing is plaid, haha.
We had some pizza and next to us was this cute little dog eating pizza crusts and wearing a sweater! (NL: hihi pimpelpaars met een goud randje)

Now I'm going back to freaking out about my assignment. I still like it very much, and I have everything in my head, but now I just have to get it on paper. I really can't handle stress very well, so I'm planning on getting a lot done today.

(Also, I bought the Sartorialist book and Lula magazine for some inspiration yesterday. They're both just so lovely!)

A while ago I asked you for advice for a good lipstick. Well, I love having red lips, but I hate if it smudges and after I drink something I look like the Joker from Batman. I tried some longlasting lipsticks before but wasn't really satisfied, yes they didn't fade, but they were so dry that they actually started to crumble. So I wasn't really planning on trying anything like that again.

But I got a comment from Mirthe (thanks!) telling me that the longlasting lipstick from L'oreal was really good, so I decided to try one more... And I love it! It has an extra moisturizing lipstick that comes with it and it prevents you from having dry lips very well. And it stays in place all day long. Yay for that.

I should be working on an assignment I have to hand in next month for my try out for Art School... But this cute little cat keeps climbing my shoulder!

Also, it´s a very interesting assignment, but also a bit hard and I have to do a lot of work, so I might blog a little less than usual. Wish me luck, I´m trying out for a very popular course and they only have a few spots to fill. I will tell you about the assignment later. But it has a lot to do with the colour black.

Yesterday was nice and warm so we decided to sit in the garden and drink cool beers. The moment I got up from my chair, the cat took my place. So we got another chair. (Is it just me, or is this cat slowely taking over my blog?)

This is another dress that I bought yesterday. I already had that bow, it matches so perfectly that it scares me a little.
(Tights and shoes are H&M, yes, it would go better with white tights but they were in the washing machine).
In this picture you can see how happy I am that I can sit in the garden like this and not freeze to death. Oh, sun, I love you! Even though you give everyone with bangs a sweaty forehead.

I bought some really nice things today. The sad thing about buying stuff at a fleamarket though is that you can't try it on. So I bought two things that are too small for me... And I'm a little bit sad about that.

This little cute red skirt is just so perfect. It's too small for me unfortunately. If anyone wants it, you can have it, if you pay the shipping costs. (It's a high-waisted skirt and the waist measures 29 cm, which is about 11,4 inches, taken flat.) [Reserved for Michele]
I suspected this dressthing to be to small for me, since it's a children's size. But I got blinded by the cute buttons and even cuter collar. Sigh.
But I'm also a little bit happy because I did find some nice things that do fit me, spring has started and it is actually quite sunny today and this cat scared the shit out of me when it looked at me with her illuminated eyes from Fernando's underwear drawer.
This cute little jumper I bought at American Apparel. I usually just go there to drool over the nice things (oh especially the tights, so nice!) that I can't afford. But today was my lucky day since this nice little thing was hanging on a 75 % discount rack.
And another childrens dress that does fit me. It is so very lovely. The nice thing about childrens dresses is that you don't have to shorten them. Sometimes I think it is a pitty that children don't have boobs, most of the time childrens dresses are perfect for me, except that my boobs won't fit into them.

I'm waiting for Fernando to get home so he can take a picture of the blue and white gorgeousness I'm wearing now. Also bought it today, and I'm never taking it off.
